10 Reasons to Get Yourself to the Forum 09
Have you booked your place yet for the Forum, People & Planet's democratic decision making weekend, taking place in Cardiff from 13 - 15 March? These 10 highlights will make you want to - hurry; the booking deadline is Monday 9 March.
1. We own RBS, and we want our say. At the Forum we’ll be
action planning for the RBS AGM in Edinburgh on 29 April. With the media in full attendance, this is a great opportunity for P&P to highlight the impact of RBS investments on the climate. Come along to get involved in planning and making this action a really big, exciting culmination of the year’s campaigning.

2. You’ve got to be in it to win it - if you want to stand or vote in the
MC elections, you’ll want to be there!

Fight the Corporate Power! Students at the Forum will be making one of the biggest campaign decisions of the year - the focus of our new Corporate Power campaign, launching in late 2009.

Revolutionise the network! How can we build a mass diverse student movement? How can we use Web 2.0 tools to better support local, national and DIY campaigns? And how can we make the MC more diverse, representative and accountable? Have your say at the Forum parallel sessions.
5. Going… Going… Green. The success of the campaign means that lots of groups have now achieved the original
Go Green demands, and the campaign needs a new direction, which will be decided this weekend.
6. Boycott the bank or campaign for a global climate deal at Copenhagen? Help decide our
climate campaigning priorities for Autumn 09.

7. Are you a sixth former? And do you want a permanent
sixth form position on the MC, P&P’s elected board of students? Come along to vote on this proposal.

Fun fundraising. It’s hard for us to find grants to pay for our radical campaigns, like Corporate Power, so network fundraising is crucial. At the Forum we’ll be running a session on how to maximise the campaign impact of fundraising events.
