Scotland Working Group
How should People & Planet respond to devolution, strengthen support to and grow our network in Scotland?
This is one of the key issues that People & Planet wants to explore as part of our strategy for 2007 - 2013.
In September 2006 the People & Planet management committee approved the formation of a Scotland Working Group to address this issue, focusing initially on Scotland.

Responsibilities
The Scotland Working Group will:
consider the pros and cons of developing a distinct programme in Scotland and whether such a programme would be best implemented by having a staffing presence in Scotland
recommend how to reconcile the challenge of a potentially separate presence in Scotland with strengthening P&P’s nationwide identity as the UK’s leading student campaigning organisation
identify possible sources of funding so as to ensure that any changes strengthen and complement P&P’s finances
The Working Group aims to submit recommendations to People & Planet’s Management committee by December 2007. This will allow the recommendations to be discussed at People & Planet’s Forum event in March 2008 if it is prioritised by students and the manangement committee.
