University Groups
There are People & Planet groups at 56 UK universities and colleges. They are run by students and are the core of the People & Planet network. They campaign on the global issues that matter by having speakers, debates, media stunts, colourful demonstrations, boycotts, club nights and more. Get involved in your local group to learn about the issues, have fun and campaign for change.

Groups at Schools and Colleges
There are 79 People & Planet groups in sixth forms and further education colleges. They are exploring global issues and campaigning on both Fairtrade and Climate Change. Fairtrade campaigning involves positive local action such as asking local shops and cafes to stock Fairtrade products, having exhibitions and tasting stalls, giving assemblies and persuading the staff room to go Fairtrade.
On Climate Change sixth formers are raising awareness about the threat of climate change and collecting ‘pledges’ in their schools and colleges whereby people promise to make lifestyle changes that will cut their carbon emissions.
For more information on our campaigns see our Fairtrade or climate change pages. Find out about setting up a group here or email Jamie
Individual campaigners
As well as our groups, many more people get involved in People & Planet through receiving our free email updates, which include introductions to the issues, campaign news, online actions, events listings and more.
We understand that some people want to be more involved than others, so you can switch between monthly or fortnightly emails (or none!) at any time. Sign up now.
