Birmingham Naked Protest

Birmingham Students Prove They Would Rather Go Naked…

Goal 1 - Get Others Inspired and Involved

Students and staff will only act to change their university if they know that there’s a problem, and that they can be part of the solution. Expose the problem of human rights abuses in global supply chains and increase the call for your university to do its part to protect human rights.

There are lots of ways to make this happen - get people talking about sweatshops, involve your student paper, use social media, collect signatures for the 10 000 Voices for Human Rights petition, organise a talk or a debate.

To achieve Goal 2 you will need support from your Vice Chancellor (VC), or your university’s senior management. If you can show them that students are concerned about supply chains then they are more likely to listen.

To help you run your own workshops and educate others about workers’ rights, we’ve made an education page. Feel free to use it and share it as much as you like.
