What is the People & Planet Green League?
As part of our national campaign to make the university sector sustainable and low-carbon, People & Planet compiles and publishes the Green League in partnership with The Guardian every year. Every university in the country is assessed against 13 environmental and ethical criteria based on their policies and performance.
The People & Planet Green League is widely recognised as a key driver of environmental management improvements in the HE sector and has been credited with putting climate change on the agenda of every Vice-Chancellor in the country.
It attracts significant media coverage and also won ‘Best Campaign’ at the British Environment and Media Awards in 2007. The Green League 2012 will be People & Planet’s 6th Green League and is set to be the biggest yet!
We are looking to recruit up to 12 research volunteers to help us in compiling the information needed to produce this league table. Full training will be provided. The People & Planet Green League 2012 will be published in partnership with the Guardian in May 2012.
If you are interested in working with People & Planet as a Green League 2012 Volunteer, or if you have any questions about this role email Jessica Stanton
