Dirty Oil Film Premiere - free tickets for P&P groups

People & Planet is offering student groups exclusive free tickets to the nationwide premiere of the new film Dirty Oil - released on 15 March. Free tickets are courtesy of The Co-operative, as part of its Toxic Fuels campaign.

“Dirty Oil is a ground-breaking documentary that explores the battle between industry, government, local communities and environmentalists over the development of the tar sands in Canada. If fully exploited, the tar sands alone would take the planet to the brink of runaway climate change. This film shows the damage companies are causing in Canada and what we can do about it.

From the heart of the oil sands, the film follows the pipelines to the U.S. Midwest refineries to witness how refineries, much like their Canadian counterparts, try to increase toxic dumping into the Great Lakes.
