Welcome to People & Planet’s School & College Network

We want to help school and college students to challenge world poverty, defend human rights and protect the environment.

At People & Planet, we believe in encouraging and empowering young people to become active global citizens. We’ll support them to make a real difference on issues such as climate change and global poverty.

Our Achievements

• Our work with schools and colleges was shortlisted for the 2011 EAUC’s Green Gown Award

• We were shortlisted for the 2010 Guardian Charity Awards.

• We created and rolled out the concept of awarding schools Fairtrade status. Today there are over 100 Fairtrade secondary schools.

• We have converted over 65 colleges to using green electricity.

• Each year, with our support, students learn valuable skills, run successful campaigns and hold fantastic events like Fairtrade Fashion Shows.
