We creatively engage young people in global issues
Workshops
Students critically explore climate change and poverty during our workshops that combine short films, games and visual aids. Delivered in your school or college, these can be paired with creative workshops where students take action on the issues by decorating t-shirts, making mini-movies, creating news reports or advertising campaigns. We also offer tailored, full or half day events combining issues, creative and skills workshops enabling students to gain a deeper understanding of how they can influence global issues.
Online learning
Learners on People & Planet’s innovative ‘Write to React’ online courses learn about climate change or poverty by watching films, blogging and taking action to raise awareness. The 6-week courses are split into two parts. In part one, students explore different viewpoints on the issue. In the second part, learners take positive action on the issue. Students record their learning through their own online blog and can read and comment on other learners’ blogs.

Events and volunteer roles
Your students can gain fantastic experience from coming along to our training events and annual conference where they can see international speakers, take part in practical workshops and meet other students who care about global issues. We can offer many opportunities throughout the year for young people to meet politicians and decision-makers and gain first-hand experience of lobbying for change. We also have a number of volunteer roles that will enable students to develop key skills for their CV or UCAS personal statement.

Campaign Support and Resources
People & Planet can provide ongoing support and advice via phone and email to enable students to remain motivated and achieve their goals. Students will also be provided with our comprehensive campaign guides and resources such as leaflets, petitions, stickers and badges that will enable them to run successful campaigns in their school or college.
