Climate Change Service 2008

11.30am at Hinde Street Methodist Church, 19 Thayer Street, London W1U 2QJ.
Service of Worship organised by Christian Ecology Link to support the Campaign against Climate Change's National March 2008.The doors of the church will be open from 10am and coffee served from 10.30am.
Mark Dowd, campaigns strategist for Operation Noah, will speak. The Service, led by Rev Paul Trathen, will be a time of reflection and prayer for the world before going out in mission.
After the Service we will join the Climate Change March.

National March Assembles
12 noon at Grosvenor Square - Bond street or Marble Arch tube (Apologies for any confusion over starting point,
see more here). The march starts close to the US embassy (the US has for long been a block on progress at the international Climate Talks under the still-current Bush administration).
Route of March The march goes from Grosvenor Square via Carlos Place and Mount Street to Berkley Square and Berkley street to Picacadily, Picadilly Circus, Lower Regent street, Pall Mall and Cockspur street to Trafalgar Square and Whitehall to Parliament Square. See map of route here.
Rally at Parliament Square
Starts around 2.30 pm. Finishes 3.30 to 4.00 pm Speakers include NicK Clegg MP (leader, Liberal Democrats), Michael Meacher MP (Environment Minister, 1997-2003), Caroline Lucas MEP (leader, Green Party), and George Monbiot (Honorary President, Campaign against Climate Change ).
Tea and Coffee
Westminster Quakers will be opening their Meeting House, 52 St Martin's Lane, and invite Climate Change Marchers to tea and coffee after the march on 6 December. Avoid overcrowded and over-priced coffee shops and pubs, and drop in from 2.45 p.m. onwards.
After-Party
At the Synergy Centre from 5.oo pm till late. The Synergy Centre is near Oval tube. To find out how to get there
