National campaign action

Use people in the network who’ve expressed an interest in helping with consultation and being a ‘rapid response’ team.

We have recruited a team of Campaign Advocates. This group of volunteers works closely with the campaigns team as both an advisory board and reference group and as peer to peer campaigners. They feed into the ideas generated for People & Planet campaigns, aiming to make sure they remain relevant and practically applicable for the network. Discuss and use agreed criteria and recommendations when planning all future national actions (and perhaps establish a process to do so)

Make every attempt to consult the network on planning a national action.

Unlike last year where we had the carnival of climate chaos, this year we have not had a similar national event. At Shared Planet this year, there will be lots of campaign actions to get involved with throughout the weekend. There will also be a number of national, local or regional campaign events such as Go Green Week in February 2008. The network - through the Campaign Advocates - has been engaged in generating ideas and planning for events such as this.
