What’s all this?

At the Forum students are elected to the Management Committee. The MC is 50% students and it oversees all the work of P&P. It approves the budgets, hires the director and makes sure the staff are working on the best projects to support your campaigning.

Anyone can stand for the Management Committee, as long as they are registered as a student at the time of election.

It is a massively exciting opportunity and you will be at the heart of one of the UK’s leading NGOs. Have a read of how they work and ask them a question.

How do I stand?

• Read the Role Description then download and fill out a nomination form
• Get in touch with the Office if you want a chat about the MC role and let your candidacy known.
• Email it in to the Office by midnight 27 February 2009. Include a photo for the website!

At the Forum

• Candidates will be asked questions submitted by students before the event and there will be a Q&A session at the Forum.
• Elections will then take place using Single Transferable Vote, which is recommended by the Electoral Reform Society.
• Most importantly, you watch student democracy in action!
