Do you want to get involved and make a difference?
Well here’s your big chance to work at the heart of the UK’s leading student network…
We are looking for new members to join the Management Committee (MC) our dynamic governance team. Over half the Management Committee are student members who speak for young people in the People & Planet network on all the big decisions and bring about real change. The nominations for the MC close on 12 March 2010.
How can I get involved?
Anyone can stand for the MC, as long as they are a current student, on a gap year or out of education with a place to study in the next year at the time of election.

You’ll get a lot more than a pat-on-the-back out of it:
Leadership experience - you will play a key role making sure People & Planet achieves its aims. The MC gets the final say on the projects staff work on, how People & Planet spends its money, and who we hire as director.
Representing other students - you will use your experience and knowledge of student campaigning to serve the grassroots network and encourage more students to get involved in People & Planet’s decision-making.
Getting elected - standing for election is a great way to gain new skills and confidence. People & Planet there to help you every step of the way.
Guaranteed fun. You will meet, plan and party with loads of young people passionate about making a positive difference. You also get free tickets to all People & Planet’s national events.
Travel - the MC meets four times a year at different locations in the UK, so you’ll get to see a bit more of the country with your travel paid for.

Online Elections
Traditionally, the MC elections have taken place at The Forum. However, this year as we embrace the second decade of the twenty first century, People & Planet will be trialling using online voting for the prized MC positions.
