People & Planet’s Green League is the only comprehensive and independent league table of UK universities ranked by environmental and ethical performance. It is compiled annually by the UK’s largest student campaigning network, People & Planet.
The 2012 league table is currently being finalised and will be published on Tuesday 29 May in The Guardian.

Or simply follow these 4 easy steps…
1. Find out how green your university is
First things first, you need to understand how well or badly your university has done so you can comment on it. Check out your institution’s ranking and individual scorecard (click on their name in the league table on 29 May) to reveal where progress still needs to be made and what you should be celebrating. Get the full results online
2. Download a template Press Release
Adapt the template with your universities’ People & Planet Green League 2012 score (out on 29 May) and send it to your student paper & local papers. It will only take 5 minutes to personalise the template and add a quote in. This is a really effective way to spread the word and tell your side of the story. It’s also a great way to get coverage of the work you’ve been doing all year as part of the Going Greener: transition unis campaign.
3. Organise a Green League media stunt
A great way to raise student & staff awareness of your university’s Green League ranking and pile on the pressure for more change. You could simply present your Vice-Chancellor with the results for a photo, or throw a celebration party for staff & students or hold a graduation ceremony.
4. Join our Social Media Storm on 29 May
On the day the results are published in The Guardian (29 May) just follow @peopleandplanet, retweet (RT) and use the #greenleague hashtag to spread the news.
