Over 500 of you also wrote directly to David Willetts, universities minister, throughout the course of Go Green Week, requesting that our government live up to its promise to be the greenest government ever for education.
A wide range of academics, MPs and representatives for literally millions of students and staff signed an open letter which was published in the Times Higher Education (16 February). Signatories included:
- Liam Burns, President, National Union of Students
- Caroline Lucas, MP
- Martin Kirk, Head of Campaigns, Oxfam
- Sally Hunt, General Secretary, University and College Union
