Non Uniform Day
Don’t let a boring uniform drag you down, spice it up with Fairtrade!
Organise a non-uniform day at your school!
Why not get your teachers to help you organise a non-uniform day in aid of People & Planet? It’s a quick and easy way of raising a big chunk of cash for our vital campaigning work.
If you’re at uni, why not make it a uniform day (or night) and give yourself an excuse to wear a tie again for old time’s sake!
What you need to do:
- Get a hold of the staff who normally get involved with your activities, or who organise school wide events or fundraising
- Make sure you have a few good reasons why they should let you organise it up your sleeve, including how much help you’ll give them and why People & Planet is such a good cause!
- Get them to agree to a date and start preparing everything
- Publicise the event and People & Planet around the school
- Co-ordinate with the staff how you’re going to collect the money
- Maybe organise some fun activities for that day too
- Help the teachers with anything they need to make sure the event is a success
- Come to school in whatever you like, and collect the money from the rest of the students
- Email the fundraising team - to let us know what you’re doing so we can publicise it on our website
- Get a huge sense of satisfaction by posting a nice big cheque off to People & Planet to help support your network
