Let them eat cake!

Why not hold a cake stall in aid of People & Planet?

You might already be running regular P&P campaign stalls at school or uni, so why not expand into selling cakes and snacks to attract more interest, or set up a special ‘Study Snack Bar’ for the exam period where your yummy service will be greatly appreciated:

  • You’ll be feeding the hungry masses of revising students, desperately looking for the ultimate ‘brainfoods’ to boost their energy levels, and willing to part with their money to find it!
  • You get to relax after a heavy day of revision and exams by baking a few cakes (share this out between you all and it’s far less burden, and you’ll get a great variety of cakes),
  • You play a hugely important part in raising some much needed cash for People & Planet.

Top tips to guarantee success:

  • Think ‘brainfoods’- sell cakes and biscuits with those ‘magic’ learning enhancing ingredients- nuts and bananas!
  • Target libraries and study spots- where students are most desperate and vulnerable to temptation!
  • Provide freshly squeezed juices or fruit segments and salads - for a burst of vitamin C to aid studying or as great refreshers on sunny days.
  • Expand your ‘shop’ into other homemade snacks - from pasties to pizzas to pakoras, or ‘snack pots’ of fruit and nuts as study aids.
  • Approach friendly shops nearby- for cheap, or donations of, food and goodies, maybe even some Fairtrade chocolates to sell

  • Remember to email the fundraising team - for any advice, and to let us know what you’re doing so we can publicise it on our website
