The Bill currently passing through Parliament could make UK companies accountable for the impact they have, both in the UK and overseas.

The Oxford students took a break from their exam revision and spent a lunch time writing to their MP asking him to support amendments to the bill which will stop big business profiting at the expense of people and the environment.

Jennie from the Oxford uni Amnesty group said:

“Everyone here shares similar ideals about social justice including the environment and human rights, which are intrinsically interlinked. Working together we hope to improve these rights by helping to push amendments to the corporate reform bill up the agenda and through parliament.”
