Birmingham by Bike: Annual Cycle to Shared Planet
Cycle to Birmingham for our legendary conference Shared Planet in November and cut carbon emissions while raising cash for People & Planet.
Every year a handful of brave People & Planeteers take up the challenge and arrive by bike
You can cycle all or part of the way to take part. If you get people to sponsor you for your efforts and you raise more than £100 for People & Planet, then you can have your Shared Planet ticket for free, plus we’ll give you a high vis People & Planet branded vest to cycle in! We’ll help you with planning and fundraising.
In 2006 Emma and Sian cycled from Cardiff to London over 4 days and raised over £800. Matt cycled 230 miles in 4 days from Manchester to London raising £380!

Bryn from UWE P&P was the first to cycle to Shared Planet, when in 2005 he cycled the 85 miles each way from Bristol to Oxford and raised £150 for P&P in the process!

What you need to do to take part:
Register whatever your involvement. Remember you don’t have to be cycling the whole way to take part in this event.
Drum up lots of support and excitement amongst your People & Planet group to get a crew of cyclists together.
