Cotham School’s Balloon launch World AIDS Day 2004
International Day of Action on December 1st
World AIDS Day is an International day of action to increase awareness about the impact of HIV/AIDS and campaign for fair and universal access to life saving treatment.
P&P groups first began running World AIDS Day events in 2003, and have since raise thousands of pounds for P&P with events ranging from parties and masquerade balls, to stalls and bake sales, to street theatre and other stunts. Take a look at past events for more examples.
Cardiff P&P´s festival night `RAID´ has become an annual part of their World AIDS Day celebrations. The night, packed full with live bands and DJ´s, info stalls, a Fairtrade café and raffle, has in the past 2 years raised over £3000! And gained loads of student support for their Treat AIDS Now campaign.

Top Tip: Keeping a campaigning message
Ask people to take an action on World AIDS Day. Past network actions have included asking people to pay a pound to remove a cross from the ground or a pot of sand on your stall, collecting red finger prints to add to a petition, paying to guess how many condoms are in a jar and winning them if you get it right!
