Hijack Valentine’s Day to spread the Fairtrade Love
Every year University and 6th form groups hijack Valentine´s Day with Fairtrade Love Day to spread the message that ‘Love’s not fair, neither is World Trade’!
Demonstrate your passion for justice by encouraging others to choose Fairtrade and support P&P’s Trade Justice campaign on Fairtrade Love Day.
What you can do:
P&P groups in the past have…
- Set up Fairtrade chocolate or gift delivery service, where people pay to have a hand delivered token of love sent on Valentine’s Day,
- Demonstrated the injustices of trade rules with street theatre and unfair speed dating sessions!
… But there are lots of other inventive events to come up with to spread the Trade Justice message whilst fundraising for P&P.
Leeds P&P charged £2 for hand delivered gifts of red roses, Fairtrade chocolate and condoms! Along with information about their ‘Fairtrade University’ campaign.
