Fairtrade cakes
Fairtrade Fortnight provided Queen Mary's College with an opportunity for some delicious awareness raising.

Students at the People & Planet group at Queen Mary´s College in Basingstoke held a Fairtrade Cake Stall as part of Fairtrade Fortnight.
Members of the group made all sorts of cakes at home using Fairtrade ingredients, including chocolate brownies, banana muffins and florentines. These were then sold during break and lunchtimes.
The cakes went down really well with students and teachers alike! There were many posters and leaflets around so people could learn more about Fairtrade and why it is so important for farmers. We raised over £140 pounds in total, including a collection!
