Kate Perkins, P&P group co-ordinator at Cirencester College, reports:
On Monday 19 March, our P&P group held a stall in the college canteen. We managed to get a lot of Stop Climate Chaos pledge cards and Ditch Dirty Development cards signed, as well as doing a petition to get the college to change to a green energy tariff. We also advertised the P&P group and Ditch Dirty Development workshop which was being held later that week.
We are currently collecting cards through members of our group and we’re planning more mass petitions, like ‘defacing’ our refectory with petitions on the windows and dressing up in Cirencester Town Centre.
I think we need to do everything we can to stop us heading towards more catastrophic global warming and that Ditch Dirty Development highlights a major flaw within the government that hinders progression towards slowing global warming. That is why we think its important to be involved in the campaign.
