The Grow Your Group Fund is now available from People & Planet to help make your group bigger and better than ever!
You can apply for funding to help with events or projects which will advertise your group and get new people on board. Anything which spreads the word will be eligible for help, provided it is specific and that you’ve thought about how it will help to recruit new members. Some ideas could be…
- A colourful action
- An event, for example for Go Green Week or Fairtrade Fortnight
- A stall
- Posters or leaflets
If your group wants to apply for funding, you’ll need to fill in an Application Form so that we can make sure the money goes to groups who need it most. Writing the application will be great practice for your group if you haven’t applied for financial help before, and an Application Guide is available to help you fill in the form.
The first thing you should do is contact your office support person, to discuss your ideas. They’ll help you plan your activities and write a good application, as well as answering any questions you have.
As there is only a limited amount of money available, priority will be given to groups which don’t have access to other funding sources and which have had problems with recruitment - particularly in sixth forms. There’s no deadline for applications but get them in as soon as possible so you can make best use of the money this year.
