Amen Mtui, Fairtrade coffee cupper

Amen Mtui from Tanzania is part of a KNCU coffee co-operative who are succesfully demonstrating that trade doesn’t have to just benefit multinational companies at the expense of producers. Amen is responsible for ensuring the quality of coffee that is used by Cafedirect. During Fairtrade Fortnight he will be on hand to answer questions about Fairtrade and demonstrate what is involved in creating a great cup of coffee.

These sessions are part of TasteFair, an event taking place in London throughout Fairtrade Fortnight to celebrate Fairtrade and featuring ‘eco’ celebrities and experts including Wayne Hemingway and Oliver Heath. There will also be food tastings, music evenings, story time readings, coffee classes and a specially created photographic exhibition tracing the incredible journey of coffee.
