Join The Wave flashdance for climate justice

10 Nov 2009

On 5th December, join 1000s of young people in a coordinated flashdance for climate justice on The Wave. Watch the video, learn the moves and get yourself on The Wave!

On 5th December, thousands of people will come together in London to form The Wave and demand a safe climate future for all. The Wave will be the UK’s biggest ever climate change march.

As young people, we will have to live with the consequences of decisions made by world leaders at the Copenhagen climate change summit. We need more than placards and chants to get their attention. The time has come to throw down some serious dance moves.

People & Planet teamed up with other youth organisations in Stop Climate Chaos coalition to create a funky flashdance for climate justice. Imagine 1000s of young people breaking into this dance together throughout the march - we aim to make a big visual impact and a serious statement! The time has come to galvanise for climate justice.

Watch the film, learn the dance, pass it on, get yourself to London and be part of something amazing.

There’ll also be an opportunity to learn the dance moves at Shared Planet 2009 so get your tickets now and bring your dancing shoes.

Here’s the P&P staff busting some moves in the office. If you think you can do better (and we’re pretty sure you can!) please send links to your own videos to climate@peopleandplanet.org
