Want to be a youth advisor to the Minister for Climate Change?

The Government's department of Energy and Climate Change have just launched a survey to ask you how they can best listen to the views and ideas of young people on the issue of climate change.

Late last year, 5 students from People & Planet met Gordon Brown and Ed Miliband (Secretary of State for the Department of Energy and Climate Change) at a youth question time event on climate change.

At that event Ed was asked to consider setting up a youth panel so that DECC can involve young people in the department’s decision making process. And that’s what he’s doing now.

Take 4 minutes to fill out DECC’s survey and have your say on how young people should help the UK make important decisions on climate change.

Young people alive today will potentially suffer the worst consequences of climate inaction, so it’s important that we get involved today in shaping our future.

DECC wants know if you’d rather input on decisions about:

How would you like the Governent to listen to your concerns and ideas?

If you are involved with People & Planet, please remember to tick the P&P box on the survey so we can show how many young people in People & Planet are engaged and care about this issue.

Please also do publicise it through your other networks, facebook or twitter so that hundreds and thousands of young people have a chance to reply to this!

The deadline for completing this 4 minute Government survey is Tuesday 26 January so get your voice heard right now.
