Questioning Consumption: an online debate.

Join Saamah Abdallah from the New Economics Foundation for an exclusive online talk on excessive consumption is bad for people and bad for the planet on Monday 15 February at 4:30pm.

Saamah Abdallah researcher at the New Economic Foundation’s and lead author of the Happy Planet index which measured ecological efficiency and human well-being around the world will be online to speak to People & Planet students about the issue of consumerism and consumption.

People & Planet are hosting this Skype chat as part of the preparation for the Forum event, Questioning Consumption is one of our three potential new campaign themes ideas which will be debated and decided this year’s event. We want to get you thinking and talking about it now.

After the presentation there will be an opportunity to have a discussion with Sammah and share ideas for a new People & Planet campaign which questions consumption. If you are fired up by the debate there will be a chance to get involved in developing this idea for the Forum. Then make sure you book yourself a FREE ticket for the Forum to be there when the decision is made.
