New Hall Preparatory School have been feeling the love for the climate during Go Green Week with an amazing week of planet-friendly activities.
The school’s amazing effort at raising awareness of the issues of climate change and how we can make a difference show that students of all ages want to take action to cut the carbon and Go Green!
Here’s What Tamsyn Read from New Hall had to say about their week:
Operation Noah are helping students to understand the importance of fighting climate change
The children will be immersed in many activities throughout the week. Mark Dowd, from Operation Noah, will be coming in to talk to the children about Eco awareness, they have the Recycling Bus coming into school on Thursday and Friday to work with two classes and a Dress in Green Friday. In class they will also be learning about different ways they can help to look after our environment ranging from ways to recycle, insulating our homes, how we can limit CO2 emissions to Wind turbines. The children will share the work that they have done in their Friday assembly. The children and parents are going to be asked to bring in any unwanted clothes, mobile phones and printer cartridges which will go towards supporting the RNIB. They are also going to have an Eco Fashion Design Competition where the winner will have their design made and they can model it at a Fashion Show held next month.
New Hall are using Go Green Week as an opportunity to raise the awareness of caring for our world,as well as helping them work towards their Silver Eco Award.
