On a beautiful sunny Sunday in October nearly 15,000 people ran London’s Royal Parks Half Marathon. Our 19 runners were amongst them.
Lou Taylor who not only ran the Royal Parks, but is also about to run the Dublin Marathon next month wrote:
It was a fantastic day! A beautiful run and great atmosphere. I was really pleased with my time and feeling more confident for Dublin in two weeks. I’m still fundraising and going to plug all the people who still haven’t donated. I’m determined to beat the £500 target. Thanks loads for inviting me and put me down for next year!
They did all this to raise much needed funds for People & Planet’s work campaigning on human rights, world poverty and the environment. They’ve worked really hard at their fundraising and have now raised a whopping £8,000. Lou raised £740 with another 6 runners each raising over £500. One family that ran together for People & Planet raised over £2000 - wow!
