Go Green group choc full of chocolate!
Blackpool and the Fylde College have become the first school or college group to raise £100 for People & Planet - winning them enough fairtrade chocolate to make them sick!
Students at Blackpool and the Fylde College were featured in the local paper for their Go Green Week
The group raised the money during their Go Green Week by holding an candlelit night of music and poetry. Their week also included an eco-fair, energy surveys, making recycled valentine’s cards, and a ‘pledge hedge’ where students got the chance to say how they were going to cut the carbon and go green.
Rachel Hirst, a student at the college, really enjoyed getting involved with Go Green Week
Go Green Week has been a great event to plan. The small changes make a big difference and if we work together to make a change and tackle the problems we’re facing and have some laughs along the way then it’s not such a bad thing.
A package of delicious Fairtrade chocolate is winging its way to the students at Blackpool and the Fylde college, as a reward for all of their hard work.
If you want to be in with a chance of getting your hands on some chocolate too, there’s nothing simpler - all you have to do is raise £100 for People & Planet to help us continue our great work. Contact us for top tips and advice on holding a brilliant fundraising event.
