Simply sensational day of campaigning and learning

Students from sixth forms and colleges across the country came together for Summer Campaigns Day.

Over 40 young people gave up their Saturday recently to travel to Oxford university to take part in the People & Planet and Oxfam conference. For many this was the pinnacle of their year’s campaigning and for others was the start of their journey to making a difference.

Students, united by a passion to make a difference, exchanged ideas, gave each other tips and inspired each other. It was a day that combined insightful discussions about global issues with amazing workshops on how to win campaigns and creative sessions to liven up any awareness raising effort.

Joes Lees from Bath said the day was “informative, eye-opening and fun” while Sanaa Abubakar from Croydon College said ” I really enjoyed when we were planning how to make a camapign video”
