Portsmouth University's 'One World Fashion Show'
In the lead up to the WTO ministerial in Hong Kong, Portsmouth P&P held an amazing Fairtrade Fashion show, not only as a way to collect 'Votes for Trade Justice' and to increase awareness of the wider Trade Justice campaign, but also to raise money for People & Planet.

Around 400 people attended the fashion show, where models and dancers fashioned clothes that had been donated by fair trade fashion outlets such as Epona, The Hemp Trading Company, Equop as well as our very own P&P T-Shirts! The audience were entertained by everyone from the Breakdance society, Hindu society, the Dance society and members of the P&P group as they all took to the catwalk! Special guest Simeon Greene who you may have seen at this years Shared Planet was there to give a passionate talk on the impact that we as students have in choosing fairtrade products, and the importance of our fight for trade justice. Every one who came along to the event was given a Vote for Trade Justice card on entry, and on filling it in was entered into a raffle.
There were amazing prizes that had been donated for the event, including 2 tickets to Festival, a fairtrade football signed by Pompey FC, a day visit to a health spa, and wine, clothes, books, CDs and more!
The night was finished off with a party with breakdancing and DJs and lots of smiley happy faces, after an amazingly successful night!
