Students care more - but do they give more?

17 May 2012

Did you know that students are three times more likely to care about international development than the rest of the population?

Students campaigning on Fairtrade

Volunteer with us to inspire a new generation of campaigners!

That’s according to new research commissioned by the Give More campaign, launched earlier this year to encourage people to share their passions for causes they care about.

The research also found that 1 in 3 students would give more time and energy to their preferred causes, if only they were asked. So we thought we’d ask!

So – will you become a volunteer school mentor for People & Planet? It’s the perfect opportunity to share your passion and empower the next generation, whilst gaining valuable experience to boost your CV.

We’re looking for graduates and soon-to-be graduates who can inspire young people to campaign for real change. Your role will be to engage and support students in a school near you to campaign and host events on Fairtrade and global poverty issues in their school and community.

  • We’ll give you training, ongoing support and all expenses - including a FREE ticket to Summer Gathering
  • Great opportunity to boost your CV and gain campaigning/teaching experience
  • Our most innovative mentor will win a trip to meet Fairtrade producers in Ghana!

Give more to the next generation by becoming a People & Planet school mentor!
