Mass Action against RBS-NatWest

So you’ve heard all about RBS-NatWest and how they are driving forward expansion of the fossil fuel industry by providing finance to the oil, gas and coal industries. You’ve heard about their project finance; how they participated in a loan worth over $70bn dollars to E.ON who are building the Kingsnorth coal-fired power station. You’ve heard about how their annual embedded emissions are greater than those of Scotland — and rising.

But are you tired of just talking about these problems? Want to do something about it?

On Sunday we are holding a mass action against RBS-NatWest on the courtyard beneath the clocktower. We will send a clear message to RBS Chairman Tom McKillop and new Chief Executive Steven Hester, demanding a commitment to a genuine transition away from fossil fuels finance and increasing investment in renewable energy.

IMPORTANT - Bring an umbrella, and not just in case it rains ;)
