Oxford is well connected to the rest of the country by rail and coach. The National Rail website is a great tool for route planning and if you do book in advance you’ll be able to get a good discount. Oxford is well linked by train to Birmingham and the North as well as the South via London. You can also get on the Oxford Express or the Oxford Tube coaches from London straight to Oxford. Stops are handily located outside Oxford Brookes, which is perfect for the overnight accommodation, as well as High Street which is round the corner from the Town Hall.
Getting to the Town Hall by Public Transport:
Shared Planet 2011 is at Oxford Town Hall. Getting there is simple and you can easily walk there from Oxford Railway station in about 15 minutes.
There are also regular buses leaving from outside the train station which will drop you near the Town Hall. To plan your journey and find the most appropriate bus at the time you are travelling, try the government-run public service website Transport Direct - just type in the station postcode OX1 1HS, and Town Hall postcode OX1 1BX, and it’ll tell you how to get there.
Alternatively, you could cycle to Shared Planet.
Getting to the Accommodation by public transport:
Overnight accommodation on Friday and Saturday will be provided at the Oxford Brookes Sports Centre on the Headington Campus. To get there from the station you’ll need to get bus 280 or U1 which both take about 15 minutes.
