Case Study- KES P&P group
As their first group event KES P&P group got together to plan an open evening with a difference. The event held on November 11th 2005, involved clowns, Fairtrade candy-floss, information boards, and the tent pictured below. Attendees were encouraged to Vote for Trade Justice and were given information by the group who had produced some handy leaflets.

Case Study- Royal Forest of Dean group
RFD group got creative for Fairtrade Love Day. They had fun delivering handmade cards, fairtrade chocolates, handcrafted wooden roses (recycled wood of course) and offered a singing quartet as an optional extra.
There are various ideas you could think about for this, here are just a few:
- Blood bath (fill a bath with fake blood and sit in it!)
- Boycott
- Chalking (but consider the law)
- Commemorative action (such as planting a tree or organising a concert)
- Conference
- Debate
- Die-in (lie on the floor covered in fake blood! - again consider the law)
- Demonstration
- Food & drink evening
- Fundraising
- Get other groups involved (such as faith groups)
- Leaflet
- Lobby by fax, letter or in the House of Commons

- Posters
- Puppets

- Sign-in (have lots of postcards and petitions to sign in one go)
- Sit-in (sit on the floor outside an office or important building)

- Street theatre or a production at a local venue

- Write to your MP, or go and see them when they have local question & answer sessions
