What is Stop Climate Chaos?
Without urgent action, climate change will devastate life on earth. Hundreds of millions of people, particularly the world’s poorest and most vulnerable will be put at severe risk of drought, floods, starvation, and disease. Up to one third of land-based species could face extinction by the middle of the century.
Stop Climate Chaos is the biggest climate change coalition Britain has ever seen. Stop Climate Chaos is the parent organisation of the I Count campaign. Member organisations include People & Planet, Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth, Oxfam, WWF, RSPB and Practical Action with a combined membership of over 1 million people.
It aims to mobilise these members to put pressure on the government, which has so far failed to tackle climate change, to slash the UK’s global warming gas emissions and to make fighting climate change a key part of its plans to deal with global poverty.
