A fun filled weekend of workshops, open sessions and a chance to decide the new People & Planet climate change campaign!
Saturday 11th
11:00 - 11:30 – Arrive in York for opening session
11.30 - 12:30 – Go Green Week catch up session
12.30 - 13.30 – Lunch - free veggie and vegan lunch provided
13.30 – 15:00 – Building a movement on campus workshop - get tips on how to make your group a strong and sustainable campaigning force
15:00 – 16:00 - Shared Planet proposal - discuss and debate where you think Shared Planet should be held
16:00 – 16:15 - quick break
4.15 – 5. 30 – “Coal Talk” - interactive session to help you learn about coal power
5.30 – 6.30 – open space session - plan events, actions and campaigns with groups across the region!
we’ll then head out for food and drink
Sunday 12th
10.30 – 11.30 – Democracy session: International climate movement proposal discussion and debate
11.30 – 12.30 – GM workshop - interactive workshop to find out what GM is, why it’s here and the potential problems
12.30 – 1.30 – lunch
13.30 – 14:00 – Tar sands presentation - hear about tar sands extraction from a member of the People & Planet Tar Sands Youth Solidarity Exchange
14:00 – 15:00 - Democracy session: Going Greener campaign proposal discussion and debate
15:00 – 15:15 – break
15.15 – 16.15 - Democracy session: Tar sands proposal discussion and debate
17.15 – 17.30 – Democracy session: climate change voting - what do you think should be the People & Planet climate change campaign from 2013?
17:30 - 17:45 - closing round up
