Date: Join us from 4:30 Sunday 28 June until 2pm Thursday 2 July 2009
Place: Youlbury campsite just outside of Oxford.
Cost: £100/person if your SU pay (or £65/person if they can’t). This includes:
- 4 days of campaign training and skills workshops (including both basic and advance levels)
- 4 nights camping or dormitory accommodation (tents not provided!)
- proper toilets, hot showers and washing facilities
- 3 meals a day
- evening entertainment and lots more

Paying for Summer Gathering
This year Students Unions will be covering costs of Summer Gathering tickets. It’s £100/person (if your Students Union can’t pay, it’s £65/person).

Practical details
Getting to the Summer Gathering on Sunday 28th: Shuttle bus runs will start at 4pm from Oxford train station. A lovely member of the P&P team will be at the station to greet you when you arrive and show to the shuttle bus pick up point.
Getting back from the Summer Gathering on Thursday July 02: Shuttle bus runs will start at 2pm after lunch and will take you back to Oxford train station.
Only staying a few days? No worries - P&P will have transport on site to enable you to be dropped back to Oxford train station if needs be and can also provide details of cycle and bus routes locally that take you back to the station.
Where’s Youlbury Campsite? Youlbury campsite is just outside the Oxford ring-road and is within cycling distance from Oxford train station.

Dont Forget - If you have decided to camp then you need to need to bring your own tent and sleeping bag.

Why not put your new skills to the test after the Summer Gathering and head down to Kingsnorth with the P&P crew on July 4 to show Ed Miliband that we mean business on saying ‘no to new coal’. People & Planet will join with thousands of other activists to form a whopping human ‘Mili-Band’ around Kingsnorth sending Ed Miliband to make sure he hears the student voice loud and clear.
