In October, 25 of our fabulous supporters will be feeling the thrill of racing around Hyde Park Corner without any cars and through the beautiful autumn trees during the prestigious Royal Parks Half Marathon. All this and they’ll be raising money for People & Planet.

About the run

People & Planet has been involved since the first Royal Parks Half Marathon in 2008. Since then the run has more than doubled and each year super-star runners raise thousands of pounds for People & Planet’s poverty, human rights and environmental work.

This year’s run will take place on 10 October 2010 (10/10/10!) and you can follow what happens on @peopleandplanet twitter

Why are they running for People & Planet?

Money raised for People & Planet will help us develop award winning campaigns to protect the environment, defend human rights and end world poverty. People & Planet tackles the root causes of poverty. We don’t provide charity and hand-outs to those in need, but challenge the structures and inequalities that keep them poor. This is why fundraising will really make a difference to people’s lives. Your money will help us provide support to a generation of young people keen to change the world around them and take a stand on what they believe in.
