People & Planet workshops help students explore global issues, set up a group and make a positive difference - Why not book one now?

People & Planet have pooled our years of experience in creating and delivering workshops for the post-16 audience and produced 8 inspiring and fun lesson plans to get your students thinking critically about global issues.

The lesson plans cover the issues of either climate change or global poverty and human rights. They are suitable for post-16 audiences and encourage students to explore the issues critically using games, visual aids, news articles, short film clips and group discussions. Students are supported to critically analyse the resources and come to their own conclusions.

These plans could be used when teaching the following subjects: Geography, Politics, Fashion, Media Studies, Business Studies, Active Global Citizenship

Each plan is clearly laid out with a summary of the activities, the equipment, resources and time required and a step-by-step instructions. They are provided for free as part of a project funded by DfID (the Department for International Development), all we ask in return is for you to answer a few questions and to give us your feedback after trying the activities with your students. Take a look at the summaries of our climate change lesson plans and our global poverty and human rights lesson plans and then contact us by phone on 01865 245678 or by email.

We will need some information about you for our records so please include your name, job title, organisation/academic institution, a contact telephone number, which of these resources you require and how you will use them.
