What are we doing?

• Campaigning to avert catastrophic climate change. Going Greener is creating the world’s first Transition Universities and improving the environmental performance of the higher education sector through initiatives like the People & Planet Green League & Go Green Week. We also aim to convince financing institutions such as RBS to stop investing in fossil fuels such as tar sands and massively increase support for renewable energy.

• Campaigning for human rights. Asking unis to Buy Right: we campaign in solidarity with workers in education sector supply chains for their human rights to be respected. ** Aiming to get schools & colleges to Wear Fair! and change their school uniforms to Fairtrade cotton.

• Empowering and educating young people with active citizenship skills through our outreach work at schools, colleges and universities.

• Motivating and training students through events, workshops, speakers, debates, films, discussions and fun.

• Increasing diversity by reaching out to students in further education and newer universities giving them the opportunity to engage with global issues.
