What an amazing night! All who went to London on Friday night had an amazing time and sent a loud and clear message to UK political leaders — Wake up to Trade Justice! Bring on the G8!

Campaigners around the world will be taking part in the Global Week of Action for Trade Justice from 10 -16 April. Take part here in the UK by attending ‘Wake up to Trade Justice’ in central London on Friday 15 April from 10pm ‘til 8am the next morning!
This is your chance to stand in solidarity with campaigners around the world and challenge the Government to deliver Trade Justice - not free trade.
The programme
All night
A candle lit vigil on Whitehall.
10pm - 3am
Club night at the Marquee Club in Leicester Square featuring Nitin Sawhney, Radio 1 DJ Bobby Friction and other artists.
(Please note: this event costs £5 on the door. We regret that this venue will only be open to those over 18.)
10pm - 11.15pm
Special event at Westminster Abbey presented by Vanessa Redgrave, Pete Postlethwaite, Ronan Keating and others. This event will be followed by the creation of a human white band on Parliament Square.
12pm - 6am
A chillout venue co-hosted by P&P. Mary Sumner House, 24 Tufton Street. Drop by for a drink, a bite to eat, light entertainment and to help make props and banners for the dawn procession.

Dawn procession past Downing Street.
Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke said, “It’s an overnight ‘happening’ - and it’s happening at the same time as many events all around the world. I’m going with a sleeping bag and a paint brush and maybe even a guitar if I can get it in the suitcase.”
Singer Ronan Keating said, “It will be an important event with millions of people all over the world calling for Trade Justice. A candlelit vigil outside Downing Street will be the biggest this country has ever seen. So come and be part of making history that night.”

What to bring
- Be prepared for any weather. Bring plenty of warm clothes - and waterproofs, just in case. But don’t worry, there will be lots of spaces indoors to stay warm and dry.
- Refreshments will be available, but you might like to bring your own food and drink as well.
- A candle to light as part of the vigil.
- Something to make a noise with in the dawn procession.
Safety information
- The event has been developed in full cooperation with the police to ensure that everyone has a peaceful, safe and happy night.
- Stewards will be easily identifiable. They are your best point of information and will be there to help you enjoy the night. Do not hesitate to ask for their help!
- First Aid points and toilets will be clearly signposted.
- Please make sure that you follow any instructions given by stewards.
- Please don’t leave any litter, either in the venues or on the streets.
