Briquettes are a great way to re-use shredded paper that would otherwise be thrown away.  Students at Borders College are going to produce the briquettes from the waste shredded paper and then sell them as fuel for wood burning stoves. 

The Briquettes project has been a great way to raise students awareness about waste issues and hone their business skills.  This project was one of the winners of the Green Dragon's Den competition and was awarded £300 by People & Planet to develop the project.
