Fairtrade School Mentoring

People & Planet and the Fairtrade Foundation are seeking volunteers for a new school mentoring project in England. Volunteers will visit schools to run workshops to introduce young people to global poverty issues and inspire them to make a difference. In return, volunteers receive full training, support, expenses and campaigning/teaching experience.

 

Volunteer as a Fairtrade School Mentor for a unique opportunity to introduce young people to global poverty issues and inspire them to make a difference.

 

What does the role involve?

  • You'll mentor a student group in a school near you, supporting them to campaign on Fairtrade and global poverty issues

  • You'll deliver a series of five workshops designed to give the students the skills and confidence to effect real change in their school and community

  • You'll help your group plan and host two Fairtrade events in their school
