Help & Advice for Universities

People & Planet can offer loads of help and advice for all student groups.

Whether you need help setting up a group, attracting new members, planning activities or developing your campaigns, please get in touch and we can work with you to get results.

The P&P groups guide also gives tonnes of help and advice for student campaigning groups. It covers everything from how to write a press release to persuading your Vice-Chancellor to do things they never dreamt of!

Each People & Planet group is assigned a member of support staff and a volunteer Regional Rep who are available to support the group.

The staff member or regional rep is in regular contact with someone in each group via phone and email.

To get in touch, use the contact details below or email unigroups@peopleandplanet.org.

Group Contacts

If you´d like to speak to someone at your own university, you can use the groups list page to reach your local group contact.

There are loads of ways to stay up-to-date with the latest news, help and resources from across the People and Planet network…

2009 Activist front page

The Activist: produced once a term, The Activist is the newsletter of the P&P network. It’s accessible both online and in print, and is packed full of exciting content, including in-depth analysis of campaign issues written by students, and reviews of the latest films and books. 10 copies of The Activist are sent to each P&P group to be distributed at meetings to update groups about what’s going on in the national network.

Grassroots Blogs: P&P’s blog provides an informal space for students to write on a wide range of topics - from the result of the European elections, to policing tactics at Climate Camp, to nuclear submarines…

E-Communications: P&P national emails go out once a fortnight or month (you choose!). They contain exciting news, and feature e-campaign actions that you can take from your computer.

Most P&P groups have their own email list for announcing events and activities. If your group has a list, make sure your Regional Rep and Support Office contact are on it so that they can keep up with what you’re doing!
