Step 1: Get others inspired and involved
Most young people don’t know about the terrible conditions their college clothing was produced under. It is important to raise awareness about this issue in your college so more people understand these problems, and to gain support for your campaign.
Your college are is more likely to take you seriously and do what you want if you have lots of support from other students so this is really important.
There are loads of fun ways in which you can increase awareness of the issue in your college and build support from other students.
Some of the best ways to do this are to organise fun events or interesting presentations that attract people’s attention to the issue…
2. Do presentations for tutor groups. This is a great way to get them to support Fairtrade, and can build up your skills and confidence. Get tips and advice on how to do this on our pages on public speaking.
