Buy Right Activist

This is an exciting time to be involved in People & Planet’s Buy Right campaign. In 2013, students voted to expand the campaign into electronics as well as garments, offering new opportunities to fight for workers’ rights worldwide.

What does this role involve?

Your role as a Buy Right Activist will be running the Buy Right campaign on your campus, communicating its goals to other students and building the anti-sweatshop movement at your university. You could organise a petition calling on your university to join the Worker Rights Consortium or Electronics Watch, plan local or national campaign actions, get more people to join your People & Planet group or put on a film showing about sweatshops and workers’ rights.

Whatever your skills, you’ll help us campaign for universities to support workers rights, and fight in solidarity with sweatshop workers and farmers in your university supply chains.
