Volunteering will boost your skills and confidence

Volunteering for People & Planet is fun, inspiring and will help you to develop skills and confidence that you never knew you had. How can we be so sure of this? Well, because our volunteers keep telling us, that’s why!

The following four volunteer stories show how young people, just like you, have taken up roles with People & Planet and been given the training and support to achieve things they hadn’t previously thought possible.

Stacey Griffiths – Social Media & Communications Champion: Stacey was inspired to volunteer as a Social Media and Communications Champion after taking part in a People & Planet workshop at her college.

Amani Ashraf – Media Magic Maker: When Amani started volunteering for People & Planet she didn’t know much about climate change or human rights, now she writes articles and talks to journalists about the issues.

Hanna Plant – Regional Organiser for Scotland: Hanna was a member of the People & Planet group at St Andrews when she made a last-minute decision to apply for the role of Regional Organiser for Scotland
