The 2022 Winning Candidates
As SU Environment and Ethics Officer at Birkbeck University, Guillermo has helped to restart to divestment campaign there as well as co-founding the uni's Green New Deal, and now wants to continue to represent student voices.
Pete has worked on a range of campaigns at the University of Surrey, including Divest Barclays and Sweatshop Free, and wants to use the skills gained to help move P&P forward.
Paris has been involved in successful campaigns to secure fossil fuel divestment at Sussex University, as well as getting the SU to move banks from Barclays. He's now working on Fossil Free Careers and wants to support other campaigns across the UK.
How do the elections work?
Voting is done using proportional representation, using the Single Transferable Vote system which is a system of ranking candidates in order of preference so that the candidates with the broadest support win.
